Our story is the worst.

It all began at the dinner table. We were talking about words that people don’t like, and my daughters offered up “moist” and “phlegm.” I replied, “Worst Restaurant Ever”. That’s when the proverbial lightbulb went off.

We decided to create a party game that posed deep, soul-searching challenges like “Name the worst thing to find in a ball pit” or “Name the worst donut filling.” We envisioned players using their creativity to build the worst answer from random words. Hilarity would ensue. Laughter would fill the room. And the game would continue until one person was crowned the best of the worst.

Over the past year, we brainstormed, built the game and playtested in the harsh glare of the real world. We learned which prompts were lame and which words were tough for the kids to pronounce. (I’m looking at you, “phalanges!”) Even our family road trips were an opportunity to work on it. After all, you can only play “I spy...” so many times.

Now, we’re ready to bring Name the Worst to life. We’re hoping this Kickstarter project will fund the first print run of the game and set us up for the move into stores, online and eventual global domination. So, if you like fun, ridiculous word combinations and the worst things – well, this game is for you. Sign up for our emails or follow us on social media and we’ll keep you up to date, informed and occasionally entertained on all of the worst developments.
