Name the worst directions.

Setting up
1. Put the yellow prompt cards in one pile, face down.
2. Grab the purple bonus cards and give each player an identical set (&, The, s/es, my). There are enough bonus cards for eight players, so if you have a smaller group, put the extras aside.
3. Grab a pile of the red word cards and deal each player ten cards (face down).
4. Each player should now have ten word cards and four bonus cards.
Playing the game
1. Choose someone to be the judge for this round. The judge draws a prompt card and reads it out loud (e.g. Name the worst toy for kids.)
2. Each player (except for the judge) creates their best worst answer from their hand. You can use one card or every single card in your hand, including the bonus cards (which help you make a word plural, or join two words together, etc.)
3. Once everyone has their answer, the judge briefly averts their eyes to keep the decision impartial; and each player lays their cards face down in individual piles.
4. The judge reveals each answer by turning the cards over and laying them out, reading the answers out loud. After some thoughtful introspection, the judge decides on the winning answer. It can be the weirdest, the funniest or the worstest – judge’s call. Then the winner gets the prompt card as a token of their victory. Try to be humble.
5. Any word cards that you played go in a discard pile (the top of the box works great), but players take back their bonus cards. #recycle
6. Players draw fresh word cards, so you ALWAYS have ten word cards in your hand (plus your four bonus cards nearby.) Don’t like a word in your hand? You can exchange up to three word cards in each round. Discard and draw new ones before the judge reads the prompt.
7. The next person (clockwise) becomes the judge, draws a prompt card and the game continues until one person is crowned the best of the worst. When’s that? You can stop when you run through all of the word cards, set a timer or play until someone collects 5 prompt cards (short game) or 10 prompt cards (longer game). It’s up to you.
